MOX – Musicians Owning Excellence – A program for High School and College-aged students
Friday – Saturday, Feb. 21, 22, 2020 10am – 5pm (student production 5pm Saturday)
The inaugural MOX program invites high school artists to consider their role in music and the music industry. MOXies participate in panels and practical activities exploring the skills working musicians must develop over their careers. Led by firecracker music educator Annie Savage and a collection of music industry professionals, MOXies will produce a Saturday night production on the Cedar stage where all facets of the presentation will be developed by the students themselves.
We have worked to assemble some of the brightest and best young artists to get this program off to a great start. Sample panels include:
Social Media and the Entertainment Industry
How to Mic a Band with Ear Trumpet Mics
Busking 101 with Pappy “Craig” Klocke
Life on the Road
Creative Back Up
Songwriting with Joe (that’s right- Craven)
Sound & Lights!
…and no doubt a few more!
We know high school students are busy, overbooked, and in demand. Students may sign up for either the full two-day program or a single-day Saturday program.
Scholarship options are available for both the full-meal deal and the single-day program. If you need a scholarship, choose that option. That’s it. No-fuss, no muss.
